I love being an artist and when I go to the foundry for several days in a row, I sleep in one of the coolest old buildings ever! It used to be a boarding house about 100 years ago where the cowboys would stay the night when they were driving their cattle through these here parts. ;)
The bathtub is one of those old claw foot ones. It is very wonderful here. I love old small towns.
Now about the sculptures…
The plaster is going to go on Rex’s rubber mold tomorrow… Yay! :)
Carla’s rubber mold is well underway. All of her seem lines have been calculated and applied.
The waxes of Rob are about to be poured.
And… I have spent the day sculpting the waxes of Chris focusing mainly on his face and upper body. It’s all coming together quite nicely.
Tomorrow will be a very very busy day starting very very early; which is why I am here instead of driving the hour and a half each way.
